Dear St. Joseph Parishioners,
Mark your calendars and join us for Mass on the Grass at 11AM on Sunday, August 13, 2023 and stay for an old fashion family picnic. St. Joseph Parish will provide meat, table service, lemonade and water. Please bring a dish to pass and any other refreshments your family would like to have. If you have lawn chairs, corn hole or any other yard games please bring them. There will be some old-fashioned games for the kids to participate in to keep them busy and the adults can enjoy a 50/50 raffle for the adults to participate in.
To help ensure that we have a wide variety of side dishes, please see the breakdown of what to bring.
If your last name starts with
T-Z please bring a dessert
A-G please bring a salad dish
H-M please bring a cold side dish
N-S please bring a hot side dish
The picnic will take the place of the parish festival due to lack of a chairmen. Since our parish family has always been so generous at the parish festival, we hope that you will likewise be generous at the parish picnic. In leu of your time and talent from your years helping make the festival as successful as it was, we are asking that you offer a monetary donation. In years past, the festival was able to make a profit of approximately $35,000. With nearly 300 parish families, it would be amazing if we could raise this same amount with a family picnic. This donation will help offset the parish expenses in the same way that the festival did. Your donation can be offered at the picnic, in the weekly offertory marked parish picnic, drop it off at the parish office or by scanning the QR code below.

There are some changes to the cemetery’s rules and regulations to keep in mind.
- Shepard hooks are not allowed on the gravesite.
- These are dangerous for the people mowing the lawn.
- Solar lights are allowed in the urn only, not directly in the ground.
- Fences, landscape stones, rocks, gravel or bark are not allowed around the headstone.
- Planting of a tree or shrub directly in the ground is not permitted.
- Burial/casket flowers will be allowed to remain on the gravesite 4 days after burial. After that, they will be removed. - If you have any of these items, as listed above, in the cemeteries and want to keep them, they must be removed before Memorial Day. If not removed, maintenance workers will dispose of them to a dumpster!
